Unit 73 · Lone Mesa
About this unit
Central Dolores County wrapping Lone Mesa and the upper Dolores River drainage. Pinyon-juniper and oakbrush on the lower slopes climb through aspen to ponderosa and Douglas-fir on the mesa tops. Mix of BLM, San Juan National Forest, and significant private ranch ground; Lone Mesa State Park is closed to hunting except by special draw.
