Northern Mesa County on the Battlement Mesa north flank. Pinyon-juniper and oakbrush benches climb to aspen and Douglas-fir on the higher plateau. Mix of BLM and Grand Mesa Uncompahgre and Gunnison (GMUG) National Forest with private ground at the lower elevations.
