About this unit

Garfield County on the south side of the Colorado River between New Castle and Glenwood Springs. Pinyon-juniper and oakbrush on the lower benches grade up through aspen to spruce-fir on the Grand Hogback and the northern flank of the Flat Tops. Mix of BLM and White River National Forest with private ground in the river bottoms.
