About this unit
Eastern Routt County between Steamboat Springs and the Continental Divide. Aspen and lodgepole on rolling montane benches climb to spruce-fir at the divide; significant areas burned in the 1997 Routt Divide Blowdown and subsequent insect kills, opening younger regrowth. Mixed Routt National Forest and private ranch ground.
