About

With amazing Rocky Mountain views, the Willow Creek Cabin is located on it's own 5.6 acres lot overlooking Willow Creek Reservoir. There is easy access to the reservoir by a small country road (Tamarack Ln). It is a nice walk, or drive away. The reservoir is located approximately a 1/2 mile from the campsite and is open to recreation such as swimming, boating, paddle boarding, fishing (stocked with large trout for fishing/ ice fishing), and seasonal hunting. Please abide by Montana's- Willow Creek Reservoir fishing and hunting guidelines/ rules. The cabin overlooks the Bob Marshall Wilderness/ mountain range. Sun Canyon is located in the Bob Marshall Wilderness approximately 20 miles from the property. Sun Canyon hosts a seasonal bar/ restaurant as well as horseback riding tours into the Bob Marshall Wilderness (check with lodge for booking/ availability). At times the property experiences high winds, so tents are not recommended. Truck campers and travel trailers are welcome at the property (no hookup or septic services available). There are a few good(level) areas to park your trailer/ camper. At the moment there is no running water/ plumbing or electricity (utility) at the cabin site. There are 2 x 5 gallon water dispensers. One in the cabin kitchenette for drinking/ cooking and one at the outdoor dishwashing station (next to the cabin). There is an outhouse located about 100 ft from the cabin and is designated for the Willow Creek Cabin guests only (see pictures). In the cabin, there is a small 100 watt solar panel connected to a 12 volt battery and an AC power converter for your small electronic charging needs (cell, tablet). The converter also powers three low voltage lights. There is one light in the loft and two on the main floor. Night light/ power running times or usage is limited due to lack of sun at night for recharging the battery. 4G cell coverage is present at the cabin and has a really good signal for most cell providers. The cabin has a queen size bed in the loft. The sofa also doubles as a sleeper (full size). Also available (by request prior to arrival): A a small twin size cot and mattress (with bedding), as well as a large camp style dog bed. There are neighbors nearby(across the road), so please abide by the posted hipcamp noise curfew and policies. This is a large private subdivision. That means there is no hunting within the subdivision and no discharge of firearms or fireworks of any kind.\* Access to the loft area is by way of a stair style wooden ladder and is not recommended to be used by small children, people with balance/ mobility issues or those with fear of heights.\* Do not use it if you are intoxicated/ impaired! The sofa doubles as a full size bed and bedding to fit is available inside the cabin. Do not leave food outside of the cabin as there are most of Montana's wild animals in the area and will draw them into the camp. Dogs are the only pets allowed at the cabin (limit 2). Well behaved dogs are welcome at the cabin, but must not be left unattended or free to roam the property or subdivision. Please leash your dog while walking the property. Please keep the dog/s off the sofa (a dog bed is avail. by request). Please pick up after your dog to preserve the camp for future guests.\*Nuisance dogs or guests may be asked to leave premises if non-compliance issues arise.\* No smoking of any kind\*inside\* the cabin (outside is okay). The town of Augusta MT hosts a variety of shops, restaurants/ bars, gas station, as well as a general grocery store.
