About
The bridge that connects the day use area to the campground has a limit on the amount of load it can hold. The Ochoco National Forest has a quiet and cool forested campground that is popular because it is close to town and provides an escape from the heat. It is located near Mill Creek Wilderness and gives campers the chance to see old growth dependent species, such as the pileated woodpecker. The Twin Pillars Trailhead is located next to the campground and has access to the Mill Creek Wilderness and Twin Pillars Trail. The map of the campground is paraphrased.
