About

Twin Creeks is nestled inside of 12 acres of untouched woods blanketed with ferns and old growth trees. While the campsite is located at the crossroads of the Catskill Mountains and the Hudson Valley, and is easy access to the beautiful Swan Lake region - the campsite is deep enough into the woods to stay cool in the summer and cozy in winter. Please note that this site is truly off the grid. Access wifi before you settle in- as there is none available at the site! This is a carry-in, carry out experience and there is no trash pickup available. Please be prepared to carry out all of your trash including any waste from the Tentrr Loo. The nearby Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is a cultural organization that offers year round programming in music, creative arts, and history for visitors of all ages. Explore more things to do including hiking, wineries, farms, historical sites at https://sullivancatskills.com/sc-explore/ Hi! I just wanted to let you know that we have offered an additional "extra" for the camp. Our site is carry in/carry out (which includes waste generated in the tentrr loo). However there is now the choice to pay for us to have staff come and take your trash. The cost is $95 which covers the fee for us to hire someone to take care of this, but some people may find it helpful! The Space: 45 minutes from Beacon, NY and 20 minutes from Bethel Woods in the heart of the Catskills. Guest Access: DIRECTIONS: DO NOT USE GPS, IT DOES NOT WORK. Detailed instructions will be provided with your confirmation email. This is an exclusive Tentrr Signature campsite. Tentrr partners with land owners to offer unique accommodations in beautiful outdoor spaces. Our campsites are off-the-grid which means they generally do not have access to electricity, wifi, or modern plumbing. Instead, they offer the chance to relax, unplug, and fully experience nature! Your Tentrr campsite includes a 10'x12' (120 square feet) safari-style canvas tent on a raised wooden platform. Inside the tent you'll find one queen bed or a queen-size bunk bed (see photos for the exact setup). The tent is big enough for the bed plus one or two extra sleeping bags on the floor. Aside from the canvas tent, campers can also use the extra 5-person pop-up dome tent that___s provided. You'll also have a 6-ft picnic table, outdoor fire pit, 2 Tentrr Adirondack chairs, and a heating source to keep you warm and toasty at night. Max Occupancy: This refers to the total number of campers allowed onsite with your reservation. Toilets: Every campsite is equipped with a camp toilet (we call it the Tentrr Loo). This is a simple wooden box with a toilet seat and a bucket inside. To use, line the bucket with a CleanWaste Sani-Bag supplied at the camp prior to use. Afterwards, simply tie the bag up and place it in a trash bag. CleanWaste Sani-Bags use a NASA-developed gelling/deodorizing agent that helps prevent spills and keeps everyone safe and clean. Showers: Every Signature campsite comes with a Coleman Sun Shower. The sun shower has a reservoir that holds up to 5 gallons of water, potentially enough for multiple showers. It's constructed of heat-locking material that warms the water when it's left in the sun, even on cool days. What you should bring: -S'mores supplies & any food you'd like to eat -A cooler to keep your grub from spoiling -Bedding and pillows -Firewood for the campfire Interaction with Guests: Upon check out, you should leave-no-trace of your stay and be sure your campsite is returned to its natural glory! While Tentrr does not charge a cleaning fee, we do expect campsites to be left how they were found. After you check out, take everything you brought in and be sure to leave your trash at the designated location on the property. If a CampKeeper submits an incident report after your stay that details evidence of trash or damage to the campsite or the CampKeeper___s property, Tentrr reserves the right to charge a minimum cleaning fee of $50. Just make sure to follow the Camper Manual posted at your campsite and you'll be set! Reservation Modifications/Cancellations: Please note the terms of the cancelation policy as they are outlined in your reservation confirmation on Airbnb. Your CampKeeper is unable to change or cancel your reservation on your behalf, and they are unable to waive any cancellation fees (if applicable). If you have any questions regarding your reservation, Tentrr Customer Support can be reached at (888) 798-9093 or at hello@tentrr.com. Other Things to Note: WHERE IT IS Because there is no home on this property, it has no street address. The site is across the street from 245 Heinle Road, Swan Lake please print out our directions, as you may not be able to access your map app in the area. View our website for specifics YOU WILL HAVE TROUBLE without information provided on our website. There is a chain across the driveway - plenty of space to park but it is too muddy to drive cars all the way down to the site. Look for our friend Phil (a 4 foot high gnome nailed to a tree) and youll know you are in the right spot. You will park your car at the top of the driveway. It is about a 200 foot walk down to the tent. Pictures of Phil are on the direction page of our website. (It's possible to lift the chain and drive underneath however if this is done we will be asking to be reimbursed for the damage to the dirt path) WHAT WE WILL PROVIDE We will provide: canvas tent with queen bed and memory foam mattress (sleeps 2) 2 cots which fit inside the tent a 6 person pop up tent for friends A tentrr loo 2 fire pits a propane stove and lantern (minus the propane) a picnic table a large trash can (please supply your own trash liners) WATER There is a freshwater spring just a few hundred feet down Heinle Road on the opposite side of the street. You will see a spout sticking out of some rocks. Neighbors come from all over to fill up their jugs, and you can too! There is a shower at the camp that is usually filled but if you need to refill it, use the water from this spring. Tip: fill it up at the very start of your stay so that the water can warm up prior to your shower! To operate the shower, use the pump for pressure, then pull down the lever at the top. The tent is streamside and the water from the stream can be used for washing dishes. TRASH Please leave the site as you found it - take all trash, including human waste, out with you. The tentrr loo has blue trash bags with stuff in it that absorbs the pee/poo, kind of like a kitty litter box - you go, then you tie it up, and throw it in the trash with all the other garbage. These bags are biodegradable, they can just go into a dumpster when you leave. (If you would like us to take out the trash for you, it is an additional $100 charge). We are hoping for awesome reviews and lots of pictures/content. Just tag us in whatever you make so that we can share and repost on our facebook and insta pages. Very dog friendly and kid friendly! We ask that you please text upon arrival and departure if we are not available to meet you at the site. You can text 845-416-8324. We have firewood on the site which costs $10 per bundle. Please don't help yourself- it takes time and $$$ to split the wood. We recommend at least one bundle per night. We also offer an additional "extra" for the camp. Our site is carry in/carry out (which includes waste generated in the tentrr loo). However there is now the choice to pay for us to have staff come and take your trash. The cost is $95 which covers the fee for us to hire someone to take care of this. We added this extra because we have had some guests stay and leave trash behind which we are not equipped to take care of without a fee. Now it can work out well for everyone...this can be added through our camp extras if you are interested. Total Bedrooms: 1 Total Bathrooms: 1
