The campground is located at the edge of a refuge. It is a back country campground and mostly used by hunters andanglers. There is a shady area to the right of the entrance. There are more open sites to the left of the second section. The Homeplace, Golden Pond Visitor Center, and the welcome stations are all possible day trips.
