During the summer, Soldier Creek is very popular with campers because it is cooler. It is popular with the mountain's black bear population so be careful with your food and garbage. You need to dispose of the garbage in bear-proof containers to avoid putting a bear's life in danger. It is important to keep all food away from the curious and powerful animals.
