About
A stone's throw from the junction can be seen a scenic side trail which leads to the historic cabins of the early mining activity of the area. The main trail drops into this valley through lodges that are years old. The Hiker goes down a one mile steep hill to catch a flight to Skagit Queen Camp. The early 1900's mining development right beyond the camp are relevant to current events. The generator used water and air to power its compressor to move compressed air onto the drilling rigs above a body of water. Look for signs of MINING along that trail. Thedevelopers abandoned the land before the efforts were spent.
