About
The Simpson Springs Campground has 20 campsites. The campground is on the eastern edge of Utah's West Desert near the Simpson Springs station. Simpson Springs was the location of a significant Civilian Conservation Corps camp in the late 1930s and early 1940s. The Pony Express National Historic Trail has recreation, hiking, horseback riding, wildlife viewing and scenic byway. The facilities include water and pit toilets. The Pony Express National Historic Trail has a camping area. The Pony Express National Historic Trail site has visitor interpretation.
