About
There were 31,555 acres added to the wilderness. Dramatic scenery and steep terrain are related. There is a wilderness in the southwest of the Monterey Ranger District. Moderate to strenuous trails for hiking are found in more remote areas. It's possible to get to parts of the wilderness through dirt roads, but it depends on the weather.
