About

This trail is located in the Salmo-Priest Wilderness Area. Moderate to steep grades. The Salmo Basin contains an old growth cedar-hemlock forest. Trail crosses the south fork of the Salmo River which is a pristine stream containing bull trout. Seasonal streams along trail. Trail is part of an 18-mile loop system which also includes Shedroof Divide #512 and Salmo Divide #535. No motorized or mechanized equipment is allowed within the Wilderness area.
