Welcome to Prancing Elk Cabin - our chalet style 2 bedroom/2 bathroom cabin sits perched high atop the mountain at 2800' elevation approximately 10 minutes from Bryson City, 25 minutes from Cherokee, 20 minutes to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and 1.25 hours from Asheville Regional Airport. A wall of windows provides access to stunning long range mountain views from within the cabin and the spacious deck from without. Come to relax or explore the area.

**The Area**
If you love the great outdoors our area has everything! Enjoy hiking, rafting, tubing, mountain biking, skiing, horseback riding, fishing, bird watching and boating just to name a few. Area attractions include Great Smoky Moutains National Park, Nantahala National Forest, Great Smoky Mountain Railroad, town of Bryson City, Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee, Fontana Lake, Cataloochee Ski Area.
**Guest Access**

Our cabin is built directly adjacent to another cabin but the fence and offset make our place very private. We do share a gravel driveway with 2 other cabins.
**Access Road**
The road leading to our cabin is a paved winding mountain road with 1000’ of elevation gain in 1 mile. If you are not familiar with mountain driving please try to arrive before dark.
A 4WD or AWD vehicle in recommeded in winter weather during January and February.
