The John W. Flannagan Dam & Reservoir Area is a great place to go for a swim in the summer. The dam built for flood control for the Cranesnest and Pound Rivers creates a lake that is 1,400 feet above sea level. This is an ideal spot for hiking, picnicking and water activities. The ideal location for parties and other get-togethers is a campground with electric hook up options, bath houses, playground, launch ramps, picnic shelters, and horseshoe pits.
