About

Go north on the Cave Creek Trail until you get to the Pinhoti Trail. Look for a sign that leads to the overlook and a trail that leads to the last quarter mile. The side trail leads to the crash site of a small plane in 1972. You can see pieces of the plane off the trail to your right. You will eventually reach a campsite that will fit three or four tents, only 100 yards away from the overlook. The area is close to the cliffs and therefore protected from the wind. There are some spots that are larger than a tent and have better views, but also a bit breezier. Just remember to have a flashlight and hang out at the boulder cliffs at sunset.
