About
Pack it in and pack it out. The trail is only open to foot traffic for 55 miles. The Big Cedar trail is located on the western boundary of the Ouachita National Forest in Oklahoma, and the Talimena Scenic Drive is located east of Queen Wilhelmina State Park. Animals, horses, and vehicles are not allowed. The trail crosses wilderness areas. To preserve the trail's beauty, please camp at least 100 feet from the trail. It is open year-round. The weather is favorable from autumn to spring.
