Palisades Campground

There's a campground close to the Lower Back Country Byway. Fourteen broad, spacious campsites and vault toilets, as well as an accessible fishing pier are included in the campgrounds. There are almost all of the campsites at the river level. It is wise to open on a first come, first serve basis. There aren't any reservations accepted. There is a water source at the campground. The cell phone service in the campground is unreliable. State highway 27 is designated as a bikeway by the department of transportation. The site is named after the basaltic lava outcrops that form the cliff faces across the river.
