About

***Experience being unplugged from the city, away from civilization. *** ***Reconnect with nature on a private hilltop.*** ***Have the campsite all to yourself and your loved ones.*** **/////////////////////////// SITE OVERVIEW** Osa Trail campsite rests on a secluded hilltop bordering Sundown Wild Forest with SPECTACULAR VIEWS of hills and valleys. Campers can see all the way to The Berkshires on clear days. At night, it's the Milky Way, so bring your telescope. There is a beautiful "secret" mountain stream waterhole within a 7-minute walk from the tent, and countless hiking trails in nearby Minnewaska State Park, only 20 minutes away. Come savor the tranquility. Right along the driveway leading to the campsite there is a shale outcrop, full of fossils, mostly prehistoric leaves and branches, but also occasional Brachiopods - yours for the taking. Bring your cold chisel and a mallet. This campsite is equipped with one Queen-sized bed with a memory foam mattress! For the winter our floor is insulated with rubber mats to cut down on drafts. Good cell reception at the campsite. No poison ivy anywhere on the property. **/////////////////////////// SITE GUIDELINES** We take the necessary precautions against COVID-19. If anyone is sick - don't come! You must take away all your trash including toilet waste. If you don't agree to this - please chose another site. If you agree but don't comply you will be charged a $150 cleanup fee. Please, please DO NOT CUT ANY LIVE TREES OR BRANCHES on the property. If we see evidence of such actions you will be charged a fine of $500. Bring your blankets and pillows, but wake up early to watch the sunrise. Enjoy the stone fire pit, but don't leave the fire unattended. Forage the forest, but don't leave food that may attract wildlife. Explore nearby mountain streams, waterfalls, hills and trails - don't get lost in the woods. By making a reservation at Osa Trail you automatically agree to these site guidelines.
