About
The Pinnell Mountain National Recreation Trail leads to the North Forks Shelter Cabin which is located on the back side of a hill. It's 9 miles from the Twelvemile Summit Wayside. The cabin isn't always used as an emergency shelter, but is used on a first come first served basis. The cabin has a system for collecting rain and snow, and for treatment of water before it's used.
