The name of this place is ___Bear With Us___ cabin, a newly-remodeled, cozy and unique retreat. The beauty is in the details ___from the warm, exposed wood and plenty of sunny spaces to modern luxuries like a hot shower and chef's kitchen. Nestled on four acres of private forest, ___Bear With Us___ cabin features a spectacular view of the surrounding mountains, as well as the streams and diverse flora and fauna. And you are still mere minutes away from 21st-century conveniences, like Walmart, Harrah's Cherokee casino and local artisans' shops. In the cabin, you will find all stainless steel appliances, flat screen TV, Blu-ray/DVD player. (The TV can only be used for playing DVDs). The log house features two bedrooms and a shared bathroom with a tub. Every room has wooden walls and hardwood floors. In the kitchent there is a full-size refrigerator, coffee maker, toaster oven, electric oven, stove, microwave, crock pot, deep fryer, and lots of useful cooking utensils. The cabin perfectly accommodates small, family gatherings or romantic getaways. Disconnect yourself from the hectic world and savour the tranquillity of nature. There is window AC in the living room and also Window AC in each of the bedrooms. Fire up the grill on the huge front porch as you look out over the splendid sylvan vistas. Spend a relaxing evening dining or sipping wine in front of the fireplace. Lovers of the great outdoors can spend their vacation hiking and exploring the cliffs, trails and surrounding wildlife. Go whitewater rafting, or fishing along the old logging roads by the house. When you return, the comforts of home will be waiting for you. Our cabin is a unique vacation home. I trust that you will enjoy your stay and come back soon! The neighbourhood: There is a Walmart in the town of Sylva a few miles east, as well as craft and antique shops in nearby Dillsboro. Headed west, near Franklin, you will find Harrah's Cherokee casino. Visit a real gem mine, such as Mason's, in the Cowee Valley. Try rafting in Nantahala, or take a drive over the mountain to Gaitlinburg and Pigeon Forge, where you can go horseback riding. You might want to go skiing in Cataloochee, depending on the season, of course! Just as you pass through downtown Sylva, on your right you will come to the market, where you can purchase freshly-laid eggs, as well as all kinds of fruits and vegetables and jams and jellies. For fine dining, try Ruth Chris Steak House at Harrah's, the buffet at the casino, or a number of other good restaurants. You are in National Forest, surrounded by hiking trails and about 1 mile from Tuckasegee River The deck and the living room have a spectacular view of Smokey Mountains Harrahs Casino Cherokee - 6 miles / 10 min drive Bryson - 6 miles / 8 min drive Silver - 12 miles / 14 min drive Dillsboro - 10 mile / 10 min drive Franklin - 27 min / 30 min drive Catlinburg - 40 miles /1-hour drive right of the Smokey Mountain, beautiful drive . . . Asheville - 1 hour rive. Waterfall - 25min away, Groceries and restaurants are only 15 min drive away. The place has an indoor fireplace in the living room. The place accommodates 4 people (double occupancy, two bedrooms with queen size bed in each bedroom) And there is a couch in the living room. Maximum occupancy 6.
