Come to Moon Ranch on Chalk Mountain, 10 minutes from historic Glen Rose, TX, and make camp in this neatly secluded cedar and elm treed area. The four camps are located on 10.5 acres of land, so feel free to stretch out and relax. Bring a hammock; no problem finding two trees close enough!! Walk out to the three acre clearing at night and view the beautiful night sky with almost no light pollution, or camp in our scenic open camping area. On a clear night the milky way is incredible! Our location is five minutes to Fossil Rim Wildlife Center, Ten Minutes to Dinosaur Valley State Park(both require reservations), 15 Minutes to Big Rocks(free shallow river access and boulders to climb on). Open field for stargazing. Close to Paluxy River, Brazos River, Glen Rose shops, boutiques, eateries in town and on the square. We have a mixture of private campsites secluded in the cedar trees, perfect for a romantic getaway; or larger campsites that can easily accommodate families. Absolutely LGBTQ friendly!
