About
Monjeau Lookout is a famous landmark on the Smokey Bear Ranger District built in 1936 and reconstructed in 1940. This site is a great place to visit. The roads leading to the site are dirt and can be difficult to navigate. During the summer months, the road leading to it closes due to snow. The National Register of Historic Places is a listing of historic places. Click here for a recent article detailing the history of this place.
