About

It is a good idea to listen to Onion Creek flowing over limestone ledges. Follow the trails through the woods. Take a tour of the remains of an early Texas homestead. It is within Austin's city limits at McKinney Falls State Park, which is 13 miles from the state capitol. You can go camping, hike, mountain bike, go bouldering, and picnic here. It is possible to fish and swim in Onion Creek. If you notice the creek's flow, contact the park. It's important to read through our swimming safety tips before you visit. You can rent one of our cabins. The primitive youth camping area is used by nonprofits.
