Lake of the Woods is a small lake. It can be popular on weekends. There are several camping spots with fire pits and picnic tables along the shoreline. There is no piped water. The lake is usually open in the spring as it sits at a high elevation and takes longer for winter snows to melt. On a first come, first served basis, camping is free.
