One of the most popular mountain biking routes in the region is offered at Lake Norman State Park. There is a boat ramp and opportunities for fishing along park trails close to a 125-yard swim beach and bathhouse. There are camping spots available at Lake Norman during the warm months and a community building with facilities can be rented for group and family events throughout the year. There are free interpretive programs in the visitor center, as well as educational exhibits.
