Keauhou is a favorite destination for wilderness hikers on the national park's southern seacoast. The campsite is close to a trail. The Keauhou hike can be a tiring one as the fresh water mixes with the ocean. Campers who are permitted can stay for 3 nights per site. The campsite is accessible from a number of locations.
