About
The designated trail leads into the Mount Zirkel Wilderness. The setting is managed forest area. The elevation of the timberline is approximately 10,500 feet. The LakeKatherine Trail is easy to follow. Campsites are hard to find along the trail and at LakeKatherine. This is a popular trail and there is little opportunity for solitude. This trail is within the Mt Zirkel Wilderness. Refer to the Wilderness Regulations. The park's Ranger District manages this trail.
