More than 80 miles of trails lead into the park's wilderness. Most of the park is open for camping. A number of sites have been developed that include fireplaces, picnic tables, tent platforms, information, outhouses or food cache. Contact the park staff for more information. The Kachemak Crack Day Use Area and Left Beach Camp Areas are noted. The public use cabins are available on the beach. The cabins are located in the Halibut Cove Lagoon, Leisure Lake, and Tutka Bay areas. There is information on cabin rentals in Kachemak Bay State Park.
