The campground is located in a tree lined area and is a great place to spend the weekend or entire vacation. The Modoc National Forest has several hiking trails that are available for nature viewing. The Highway 139 Auto Tour and Howard's Gulch Interpretive Sites have been dedicated. The auto tour is south of the campground.
