The Fall River Ranger District is located in Hot Springs, South Dakota, which is also known as the Southern Gateway to the Black Hills. Hot Springs is well known for it's large, natural, warm water springs. It includes easy access to great attractions, soothing water springs, great year-round weather, and distinctive sandstone architecture. A current visitors map is a good idea. Take a stroll through the wide open spaces and watch the wildlife. The Fossil Freeway covers western Nebraska and western South Dakota and includes the Fall River area.
