About
The BLM-administered land, split estate, and state land make up the Honeycomb BUTES. The WSA is one of the best examples of badlands in Wyoming with its many colored bluffs. The landscape has twisted and contorted erosional features. The buttes are made of petrified wood and turtle shell. The Honeycomb Buttes provide a lot of opportunities for primitive and unConfined recreation. There are opportunities to spelunk in the many erosion caves found in the buttes, and to rockhound in the clay and rocky buttes. There are opportunities for backpacking, hunting and horseback riding. The scenic quality of the WSA greatly enhances the recreational values. The roads are accessible in most places.
