About
The view of the Hiwassee River from Hood Mountain overlook is a forested hillsides and pastoral river bottoms. The John Muir National Recreation Trail is a 21-mile section that goes along the river. The campground is at the nearby Gee Creek. The site can be accessed by passenger car and there are different types of fishing available.
