The park is a huge expanse of prairie, with rolling hills and large skies. Visitors see many animals, such as deer, turkeys, quail, and pheasants. The 3,700 acres of open water offer a great place to fish. The area's wetlands, lakes, and rivers teem with wildlife. The central flyway has a lake where ducks and shorebirds can be found and it's also a great place for hunting and birdwatching. There are a variety of habitats for wildlife. The lake has quality crappie, white bass, and channel catfish.
