About

George Scott Harris was a Scottish pioneer who settled here in the late 1800s to raise sheep and cattle. The largest island off the Oregon coast is located in the park. Bird Island is a National Wildlife Sanctuary and a breeding site for rare birds. The park has sandy beaches with rocky outcroppings and interesting tide pools. Sea stacks are just off shore. There are -65 full-hookup sites, 25 electrical sites with water, 59 tent sites with water nearby, and six yurts.
