About
The area on the north side of the lake is open for camping during the winter months. There are at least at least 5 undeveloped sites with fire rings and a toilet. Make your own water or clean the water on the lake. It is ideal for tents and RV's. There is no fee. Usually opens around the end of May. In the winter, it closes due to snow. There are three lakes that can be reached by passenger car. The lake is surrounded by grassy areas and a forest of conifers. The lake is a short distance from the west. Fishing and boating are popular. Hikers can go 2 miles to get to the Pacific Crest Trail. The views of the mountain. The Trinity Alps are plentiful. It is an easy ride south to see and explore the Seven Lakes Basin.
