About
The Green Mountain National Forest has 1,600 acres of a recreation area. It's a popular location for hiking, canoeing, and fishing. It's possible to find over ten miles of trails through flat terrain. The trails have blue diamond blazes, but are very wet and muddy at times. The trails are connected with a larger trail system. The trails are open in the winter, so you can ski on them. There are snowmobiles only on Forest Road 262 and the West Trail. The brochure and map have information on the Grout Pond trails.
