What is dispersed camping?

Dispersed camping is primitive camping on public land outside of developed campgrounds. There are no facilities — no toilets (usually), no water, no trash service, no marked sites. You may camp anywhere within the area, usually for free, subject to the agency's rules below. Pack everything out, follow Leave No Trace, and check current conditions with the land manager before you go.

Free dispersed horse camp / trailhead. Vault toilet, no water. Parking for ~10 stock trailers.

Fire restrictions change daily. We don't publish a static fire-allowed claim — check the current order before any campfire, stove, or smoking.

About

Per agency copy, this trailhead and horse camp is used primarily by dispersed campers and visitors with horses. Vault toilet on site; no potable water. Per the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie forest-wide guidance, dispersed camping along Forest Service roads is allowed where there is adequate space to safely park completely off the roadway and not on any vegetation; keep food and scented items secure from wildlife by keeping a clean camp and storing items in your vehicle or a wildlife-resistant storage canister.
