Natural Features: This campground is located in an old Florida pine forest. There is abundant wildlife freely roaming the area. Recreation: Bear Island offers a multitude of recreation opportunities such as hiking, fishing, hunting, birding, and off-road vehicle trails (permit required). Facilities: This is a primitive campground with no fresh water. Vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings with grills are available.
