About
Welcome to your campsite on Duck Lake, famous for it's world class trout fishing and minutes from Glacier National Park! Enjoy the sounds of the loons around the firepit on the beach after a long day hiking in the park. Or catch sunrise over the lake while pulling in 18-20" Rainbow Trout. Get a few hours of work in with the stable and fast Starlink wifi. Have dinner at the picnic table under the string lights that decorate the back yard, patio, grill, and horseshoe pitch. Relax and enjoy.
Roughly a quarter acre, this property has an existing 1963 2bd/1ba camper (available through Airbnb as well) and three campsites with power and water. This site has is to the right of the existing camper and has a clear view of the lake.
You will have access to the yard, deck of the existing camper with gas grill and picnic table, and stairs down to the lake. You will not have access to the old dock (it doesn't reach the water) for safety reasons, inside the existing camper, or the shed on the property. If there are other campers on the property, you will not have access to their campsites.
Bears are often spotted in the area. While we have never seen one at the property, please do carry bear spray when outside. DO NOT leave food or trash outside. If you need bear spray, we can normally provide it with advance notice.
There is very limited cell service in the Duck Lake area and most areas east of Glacier National Park. Expect to only have service when using wifi. Verizon has slightly better service here than T-Mobile or AT&T.
Need wood for the firepit? Our property on the north shore has plenty of down trees and I'd be happy to meet you there with a chainsaw if our schedules permit.
