Fall River State Park is located between the Cross Timbers region and the grassland of theFlint Hills and has a great diversity of plant and animal life. The 980-acre park is made up of forested flood plains, blackjack savannas and tall-grass prairie. The area has six hiking trails and an orienting course that give visitors a personal perspective. Bird watchers, photographers, and other people will enjoy the plants and animals here. There are 9000 acres of public wildlife area. The animals that are common are dove, turkey, deer, turkey, rabbit, squirrel, and prairie chicken.
