Elk Knob State Park

The park has campsites. The hike into the forest is a pleasant one. Three individual sites that can hold no more than six people, two tents each, and a zone area that can hold three sites of no more than six people, two tents each. The sites are a short distance from the center of town. Water must be packed to the sites. boil the water for 5 minutes if you want to drink water from nearby streams. It's not allowed to have camp fires. It's possible to cook by camp stove, but reservations need to be made in advance. The other sites are on a first come, first serve basis. The park office can provide more information.
