Cinder Hills Dispersed Site

The Cinder Hills is a scenic area enjoyed by many off-highway vehicle enthusiasts. The area has a lot of volcanic cinder cones and craters in a forest environment. There is a growing interest in off-highway vehicle recreation in the Cinder Hills and additional management direction is needed to protect sensitive resources. Management emphasis is on the use of 2-, 3-, and 4-wheel vehicles. The 13,500 acre area has a relatively dense network of designated routes which will be identified later. It will be generally unrestricted use on areas without vegetation or sparse vegetation, without sensitive plants, archaeological sites, or areas with excessively steep slopes.
