About
The western part of the Sierra Nevada Mountains are divided into two Ranger Districts, the Carson Ranger District and the Nevada Ranger District. The district spans fifteen miles wide and 100 miles long from Dog Valley to Sonora Pass and begins in northwest of Reno and continues south along the Carson Range.
