CampWay presents: Friendly Pines Camp. CampWay operates the property during the camp's offseason from the summer during the months of August through May. The camp has been in continuous operation since 1941, the camp occupies an ideal location just six miles from Prescott. Besides the outdoor setting of fields, lakes, streams and forests, Friendly Pines also is favored in having both an outstanding staff and excellent physical plant: charming redwood buildings provide amply for sleeping, and other needs. Numerous hiking trails include Toby's Hole, Lake Trail, Goldwater Lake Trail, and the infamous boulder pile. Our private lake is closed to the public and is only available to our guests. With catfish, and bass you are sure to catch a fish or two. Catch and release only please, no swimming, no watercraft. When you're not fishing you can enjoy wildlife that surrounds the lake, be it deer, squirrels, or the many different birds that frequent it. We have a designated outside fireplace where you can enjoy a warm cup of hot cocoa, or gaze at the night sky while breathing in the fresh cool air from pines that surround us. We recommend bringing a hammock as there are endless spots available to lay and relax in the calm forest.
