About
The Camp Comfort area is ideal for camping, swimming, picnicking and hiking. There are cedar and fir trees that shade campers, and there are rhododendron trees that explode in color in the spring. Camp Comfort is where you can find the trail that takes you to a rocky outcrop overlooking the South Umpqua River. A short trail called Deer Lick Falls Trail 1568 leads up to a swimming hole in the spring and summer. The typical camp site has five campsites with picnic tables and fire pits.
