Visitors can enjoy a wide variety of recreational activities in the area. The facility is maintained by the national forest. The North Yuba River has swimming, wading and rainbow trout fishing. Rafting and kayaking are popular water activities. The nearby North Yuba River Trail is part of the network of trails. Some of the campsites are designated for tent camping only. Each site has a picnic table and campfire ring. Drinking water and vault toilets are provided. The campground is located across the highway from the river. There are trees scattered throughout the campground. The ADA access is N.
