About
There is a lake with a deep and high elevation in a forested area. The lake is well known for its outdoor activities. There was a primitive boat launch on the south end. There are a number of things to do at the lake, including camping, fishing, canoeing, and viewing cutthroat spawning. Earl wrote about growing up in Locke in Pend Oreille country, moving up from the city of Spokane and then graduating from college. His stepfather staked claim to the land across the Pend Oreille River. That didn't seem to be as successful as fishing could be. He and his family would bring in big trout from Brown's Lake. The cabin that is a historical relic is located within the campground.
