BRIDALVEIL WILL BE TEMP CLOSED UNTIL 2023 FOR IMPROVEMENTS A major project is underway to rehabilitate the water system at Bridalveil Creek Campground. As a result, the campground will be closed until 2023. The Glacier Point Road is also closed in 2022. No camping of any kind will be available at Bridalveil Creek Campground. What will be different when the campground reopens? Plumbing replaced and additional water spigots added Water treatment equipment and generator building replaced As of the 2021 season, Bridalveil Creek Campground's family sites will **no longer be first come, first serve**. Reservations must be made via recreation.gov. To book a **horse site only** , please call the Wawona Campground office at 209-375-9535. Group sites will not be open this season. Beginning Friday, May 21, and continuing through Thursday, September 30, **day use reservations** will be required to enter Yosemite. If you obtain a wilderness permit, lodging or camping reservation, you are exempt from this requirement. However, you must still **pay** the park entrance fee once you arrive. You must have **proof** of your camping, lodging or wilderness permit reservation to show at the entrance station in order to enter Yosemite. Print or download your confirmation info PRIOR to arrival as there is no cell service at the entrance stations. Yosemite National Park’s reservable campsites are available up to five months in advance on the 15th of each month at 7:00 a.m. (PST). For example, on January 15, arrival dates from May 15 to June 14 become available to reserve, and therefore, the full potential arrival window would be from January 16 to June 14. **Reservation Tips!** Campsites in Yosemite are extremely popular and typically sell out in minutes. Login to your account or create a new account before the 7:00 a.m. (PST) release time. You may only add reservations to your cart and proceed with your reservation if you are logged into your account. The recreation.gov call center does NOT have access to additional sites or additional information beyond what is published on recreation.gov. Bridalveil Creek Campground is located in breathtaking Yosemite National Park in Central California's rugged Sierra Nevada Mountain Range. The site is situated on Glacier Point Road at an elevation of 7,200 feet, 26 miles from Yosemite Valley. Within Yosemite, visitors can gaze upon waterfalls, sheer granite cliffs, deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, vast wilderness areas and much more. Bridalveil Creek Campground offers family, group and horse campsites that are available by advanced reservation only. Horse camp reservations must be made by calling the Wawona Campground office at 209-375-9535. Group sites will not be open for the 2021 season. Paved roads and parking spurs, flush toilets and drinking water are provided. Each campsite contains a picnic table, fire ring and a food storage locker.
