About
The main building for the Denver, South Pacific, and Pacific Railroad was located at the summit of the Boreas Pass. The highest narrow gurage railroad in the United States was located here. The town of 150 people existed at Boreas Pass from 1870 to 1920 to help maintain the railroad. The Section House is now back to its former glory. Visitors may see what life was like in a place like that. During the winter months, overnight reservations can be made at www.summithuts.org.
